CES 2019: Anker Launching 'World's Smallest' USB-C Power Delivery Wall Charger Later This Month
http://bit.ly/2shQ9Kl
Apple-certified accessory maker Anker today at CES 2019 announced that its PowerPort Atom PD 1 power adapter, which it calls "the world's smallest Power Delivery wall charger," will be available to order later this month.
Anker's PowerPort Atom PD 1
The PowerPort Atom PD 1 is about the size of the five-watt charger that comes in the box with every iPhone thanks to the use of gallium nitride components. Nonetheless, it has a max output of 30W, enough to charge not only smartphones but larger devices such as a 12-inch MacBook, Chromebook, or a Nintendo Switch.
The Atom series will be Anker's new line of slim, lightweight Power Delivery wall chargers, with a 60-watt dual USB-C port Atom PD 2 charger and a 100-watt dual USB-C, dual USB-A port Atom PD 4 charger also planned for release.
Anker first unveiled the Atom PD 1 at an event in New York City in October, but failed to meet its promised November release date at the time. The charger will be available exclusively on Amazon for $29.99 in the United States, according to the accessory maker, with a revised release date of January 2019.

CES 2019: SanDisk Shows Off Prototype Flash Drive With 4TB of Storage, New Extreme Pro SSD
http://bit.ly/2VBgCA4
Western Digital's SanDisk brand today unveiled a prototype flash drive, which it says is the world's highest capacity USB drive featuring total of 4TB of storage.
Equipped with a USB-C connector, the flash drive is a prototype and thus it's not yet for sale. A 4TB USB-sized flash drive would be prohibitively expensive as even 2TB flash drives cost upwards of $1,000, but it does demonstrate advances in storage technology.
SanDisk is also launching new portable SSDs and a new SanDisk Flashback service for cloud backups. The SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD is designed to offer 1GB/s transfer speeds and it features IP55-rated durability. Set to be released in spring 2019 in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities, pricing information is not yet available for the Extreme Pro.
SanDisk's Flashback service is available for two of SanDisk's USB drives, the SanDisk Ultra Flash Drive and the SanDisk Ultra Fit Flash Drive. Flashback offers a cloud backup option that creates an online copy of USB drive content so consumers can view, search, and share files even if their drive is lost or in another location.
Along with these products, under its WD brand, Western Digital is introducing a new My Passport Go with 500GB to 1TB of SSD storage.
The My Passport Go features a built-in USB-A cable and transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s, with the SSD protected by a durable rubber bumper. Western Digital has not provided specific release and pricing details for the new My Passport Go.

"OtterBox and PopSockets collaborating on an integrated case was a no-brainer," said Jim Parke, OtterBox CEO. "Our fans love variety, customization and sleek protection. With Otter + Pop, we can deliver that in one thin iPhone case that combines our legacy of protection with all of the unique attributes that PopSockets delivers."Otter + Pop cases combine OtterBox's protective Symmetry cases with a PopGrip with the aim of making the iPhone easier to hold with one hand than ever before. When not in use, the integrated PopGrip lays flush with the case, so it's not in the way.
