Hangouts Extension Available on the Chrome Web Store

Yesterday at Google I/O, during the Keynote Vic Gundotra introduced us to Hangouts. Hangouts is their attempt to consolidate all of their messaging services into one service. Currently it only takes the place of Google Talk and Google+ Messenger.


The Chrome extension is now available in the Chrome Web Store. It basically takes Hangouts and makes them system wide. I've been using it on both Chrome OS and Windows 8 and it works great on both and you can check out your conversations on any tab, window or program.

This extension works for all current versions of Chrome. Including Chrome OS. You can download it from the Chrome Web Store here. Let us know what you think about the extension.
