Amazon has a great deal on the Acer C720 Chromebook going on right now. Acer is actually selling a refurbished version of the C720 on Amazon right now for just $149. Which is a pretty good deal, since it’s being sold by Acer, you know it’s still in great shape. This one is the 16GB SSD version along with 2GB of RAM, which is normally $199, so you can easily save about $50 by buying the refurbished one through Amazon. Additionally, the SSD inside is upgradeable. So you can grab the MyDigitalSSD 128GB for just $89.99 and upgrade the SSD yourself, which is pretty simple to do actually. But with a Chromebook you really don’t need to do it, since everything is stored in the cloud, literally.
I reviewed the Acer C720 and the C720P earlier this year and late last year. I was pretty impressed with both Chromebooks from Acer. Especially with the battery life. With it having a Haswell chip inside, I was able to get around 7-9 hours of battery life before needing to charge it up. Which I think is pretty darn good.
