Drizly Is An App That Delivers Alcohol To Your Front Door

Drizly

If you live in the Boston or The New York City area and you’re tired of having to go to the store yourself to get some beer, wine, or liquor, then it seems that they finally have an app for that. A new app called Drizzly lets you order the alcohol of your choice and have it delivered right to your front door like you were ordering a pizza. You can also order softdrinks or other types of non-alcoholic drinks if you have to uninhibited, and you can even track the order in real time as it’s headed to your house, which the app says usually takes around 30-60 minutes, so expect to get your drinks hand delivered to you within an hour if you order. Honestly this is an amazing app and I would jump at the chance to have some beers delivered on Friday night as opposed to making the trip to the local bottle shop and getting them. Provided they have a decent selection to match the shop of course.

The app looks pretty good visually, with easy to read menu text and large images to look at for the drinks you’ll be ordering. The only downside I can see to this app currently is that it only services those two particular places I mentioned up above. Boston, and New York City. Now if someone created and app that had a similar service of delivery here in the Northwest area, i’d be happy to give it a try and see just how well it fares. Drizly makes it a point to mention that you must be 21 to order from them, and that to prevent any such tomfoolery of misuse, they do multi-factor authentication/validation on IDs for every single order that is placed. So, basically it sounds like there’s no way of getting around the security bit which is great.

If you happen to live in this particular area and find this app to be quite useful, you can check out the Drizly app free in the Play Store as the app is live now, and the best part about orders is that they charge non marked up prices for drinks, so be expecting to pay for the drink what you’d pay if you went and got it yourself. The app doesn’t specify whether or not there is any sort of delivery charge, but if you happen to end up using it, feel free to share your experience with us on how things went as we’re generally curious.
