We first heard that HTC was preparing to launch a mini version of this years flagship, the HTC One M8, from evleaks not too long ago, and we reported yesterday that a Swedish carrier Telia had the unreleased device listed on their website for phones that would support HD voice. Not only is evleaks continuing to support his statement that HTC has a new Mini in the works, but he is also letting us in on some information that they are apparently working on a device referred to as the HTC One Ace, which should be this years version of the HTC One Max from last year. This doesn’t sound too far fetched and would round out HTC’s lineup of a small, mid, and large sized devices that are part of the One series of smartphones.

According to the source, the HTC One Mini will have a 4.5-inch 720p HD display, compared to last years 4.3-inch display on the HTC One mini. It;s also said to come with a 13MP camera on the back, and a 5MP camera on the front for the self portrait/selfie/or whatever else you want to call it. Perhaps it’ll be for those who have a Snapchat addiction? It’s also said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1,4 GHz, and come with 16GB of internal storage space, and 1GB of RAM. We would expect that this new mini device will have a microSD card slot for expandable storage just like the HTC One M8, although there was no mention of that. There also hasn’t been any mention on a price just yet, but we probably won’t hear about that until we closer to when HTC themselves gets ready to announce the device.

So far when it comes to the rumored HTC One Ace, we know nothing other than the name, which could be the internal codename, or it could end up being the actual name of the device. There aren’t any details just yet about what sort of specs or hardware it will have, or what it’ll cost or what the release dates are expected to be. Once we know more about what HTC is said to have planned for the Ace, we’ll be sure to post it here.
