Many of you probably know that the Jawbone UP24 is the successor to the Jawbone UP. The biggest difference between the two is Bluetooth connectivity which allows you to go ahead and wirelessly sync your Jawbone UP24 with your device. However, prior to today, that was only available for iOS. As the Android app has finally been updated to support the Jawbone UP24 and it should actually sync wirelessly with any device supporting Bluetooth 4.0 LE. Which is actually anything running Android 4.3 or higher, as Google added BLE into Android 4.3.

The Jawbone UP24 is available now for just $149.99 in black and red. It’s a very nice looking activity tracker, although it does not have a display, it still does everything quite well. The Jawbone UP24 can track sleep including total hours, time to fall asleep, and number of wake ups. It’ll also track activity including steps, distance, calories burned, and active vs idle time. With the app, you are also able to log what you eat and drink and track nutritional information as well. Some of my favorite features of the UP24 include the Smart Alarm and Power Nap features that wake you up at the time that leaves you feeling refreshed.

The Android app from Jawbone is actually a pretty decent app, albeit not holo, but it does exactly what you need it to do. Now people on Android can take the Jawbone UP24 seriously when it comes to activity trackers, as it is compatible with Android. Unlike Nike and their fuelband. The Jawbone UP24 has always been a pretty nice looking activity tracker which has a tone of features. And now it brings itself into competition with the Fitbit on Android.

How many of you are going to pick up a Jawbone UP24 now that it’s compatible with Android? Let us know in the comments below.
