Today, Google put out their own camera for just about every Android device out there. There were a few devices that were not working with the camera according to the Play Store, but for the most part its available to everyone. The camera app gives us a bit of a sneak peak into what the new design from Google is. Which we’ve been seeing leak out recently for different apps like Google+, Gmail and the Google Calendar. We’ve been messing around with the camera on various devices for a few hours now and are ready to do a complete overview of the app. For the most part it’s pretty easy to use. Swipe in from the left and you have your different modes. That’s Photosphere, Panorama, Lens Blur, camera and video. Most of those are self-explanatory, but the lens blur allows you to blur the background, much like you can on a DSLR, the Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z2, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One (M8). In the settings you can change the resolution of the camera, both front and back cameras, as well as adjust and turn on the white balance and a few other items.

It’s a pretty nice looking app, but I still think the stock G2 camera is a bit better. If you want to see a comparison between the two, check out my post on Google+, here.
How many of you love the new camera app from Google? We should now see more updates to the camera since the app is in Google Play and works with most Android devices. It’s going to be interesting to see what Google does with it.
