Do you already have your trigger finger ready for some fast clicking in wait to purchase the all new HTC One M8? You won’t have to wait too much longer now. If you’ve already decided on the model, color, and carrier combinations you want to go with for the new device, there’s only one thing left for you to decide on and that’s whether or not you want yourself a new Dot View case to go along with that brand new phone. We agree that the phone looks much better without any sort of cases or extras, but it’s still always good to be prepared and keep a device protected from time to time.
So with that said, the Dot View cases are already up on HTC’s online store, and you can gawk at all the different colors that are available(there are 5 total: Baton Rouge, Imperial Blue, Orange Popsicle, Warm Black, and simply… Atlantis) but you still can’t purchase the cases, and we’d wager it’s because the phone itself isn’t purchasable yet, at least at the time of writing this. Once the case does go up for sale and if you’re willing to buy, you’ll be able to pick one up for $49.99 and have it shipped out. For those that haven’t seen the Dot View cases yet, they are HTC’s answer to the similar type of cases that Samsung offers for the Galaxy S4 and Note 3, which are the S-View flip covers. The idea is basically the same. The case is there to give you some protection while giving you the ability to see little bits of information with a quick glance at the face of the cover without having to flip it open.
The case does this by shining light through the little tiny holes on the front face of the flip cover, which has been described many times over to look like those old light bright toys we had as kids. While the HTC online store will have these available for sale, they likely won’t be the only ones as most other retail outlets where this phone will be sold will probably have them readily available as well. That is just a guess of course. Now, let’s go back to the name for the color of the green case. Atlantis. Best and most epic name for a color ever?
