The LG G3 is an interesting device that we’ve heard quite a few rumors about. For example, rumor says that we’ll be seeing this new flagship announced in either July or August. We’ve been seeing rumors about the device being waterproof and dust proof. Another rumor states that we’ll be seeing a 16-megapixel camera. Previous leaks on this device also stated that the screen resolution would be 2560×1440. The new rumors we’re seeing have more to do with the software and screen size.
According to PhoneArena, the LG G3 will be featuring a 5.5-inch quad HD screen. The pixel density is supposed to be 534 PPI with a resolution of 2650×1440. The screen on this device is shaping up to be really great. However, this is just a rumor as of now. It would make sense for LG to put a really good screen on their next flagship, because the G2 has an excellent screen as well. It seems as though LG really wants their devices to have high quality screens.
Another rumor that has been reported is that the G3 will also be featuring some new adaptive features built into its software. These features include an adaptive interface that adjusts to where you’re at and how you’re using the device. It will also offer tips on productivity based on what the consumer is doing on the device. These features seem to be something that is becoming more and more common in today’s flagships. For example, Motorola uses the phone’s sensors to know when the consumer is driving and immediately adjusts the settings to better suit the consumer’s needs. Google Now also suggests information based on calendar events and location. The rumors we’re hearing about the G3 didn’t have much clarification on whether the G3′s software features would function in the same way as Google Now and Motorola’s devices.
I’m sure over the next few months we’ll be hearing much more information on the rumored LG G3. With rumors of the launch date being summer of this year, we’ve got quite a bit of time. We’ll have to wait and see if LG is going to be better than HTC at keeping their newest flagship a secret.
