Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 Now Available

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

GS5-Galaxy-S5-2.73

Following the other carriers, Verizon has also unleashed their Galaxy S5 today. They are selling the Samsung Galaxy S5 for $199 on a new contract, which Amazon actually has a bit cheaper for $189. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, along with 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Android 4.4.2, along with Touchwiz and a massive 2800mAh battery. The battery has some pretty awesome battery saving tech inside as well, which is nice to have certainly.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with 16GB of storage inside, along with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB. Which only Sandisk has one available with 128GB of storage right now. We do have the link down below if you’re interested in picking it up. Samsung has also added a heart rate monitor and a fingerprint scanner. Samsung is going all health and fitness with the Galaxy S5, which I think is a good path to go down for them.

Sprint now Selling the Samsung Gear Fit, Gear 2, and Gear 2 Neo

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

Gear 2 Neo

For those of you running to Sprint to buy your Galaxy S5, don’t forget to pick up one of Samsung’s new wearables. The Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit all go on sale today as well. The Gear 2 is their second generation smart watch, which does still have a camera, but it’s in the watch itself instead of the strap. It’s actually a really nice looking smart watch, and its going for $299. While the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are both going for $199. The Gear 2 Neo is basically the Gear 2 but there’s no camera. Then the Gear Fit is more of a fitness tracker, and I think it’s the best looking one of the bunch. All three of these are also available from Amazon, so if you’re not already heading to Sprint for the Galaxy S5, it might be easier to grab it from Amazon. Especially with Amazon Prime’s free two-day shipping.

Samsung Galaxy S5 In Sprint Stores now for $199

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

sprint galaxy s5

Sprint now has the Samsung Galaxy S5 in stores for purchase, or if you just want to take a look at it. Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 back in February at Unpacked in Barcelona. The Samsung Galaxy S5 takes the Galaxy S4 and makes it even better. While some may not like the overall look and design of the device, it’s hardware is definitely top notch. Speaking of hardware, we’re looking at a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 2GB of RAM along with a 16MP camera on the back and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. We also are looking at Android 4.4.2 – KitKat on-board along with their latest version of Touchwiz. Much like AT&T and Verizon, Sprint is selling the Galaxy S5 for $199 on a new contract. However you can also add it to your Framily plan and get a bit more off your monthly bill. Amazon has the device on sale right now for a slightly cheaper price than Sprint, going for $189.

HTC One (M8) Now Available on T-Mobile at $0 Down-Payment with 2 Year Contract

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

HTC-ONE-M8-AH--12

The turf wars between HTC and Samsung are definitely heating up. The release of Samsung’s flagship – the Samsung Galaxy S5 – is underway and simultaneously we are seeing HTC launching their flasgship – the HTC One (M8) across carriers and stores. Just yesterday we saw the HTC One (M8) launch on Telus and now today the device is available on T-Mobile. The carrier has announced the availability of the HTC One (M8) for a zero down-payment, if you pick it up on a 2 year contract. For those who would wish to forgo a data plan to go with the device, a paltry sum of$26.50 would be the monthly payable for a 24 month period. However a smartphone isn’t much ‘smart’ without a proper data connection, with 3G being an acceptable speed. For users planning on data connectivity, T-Mobile offers two plans along with the HTC One (M8). You will have to shell out $50 a month for 1 GB of data, which will rise all the way to $80 a month for those who would require unlimited data. As of yet, the gun-metal finish variant is the only one available under this scheme.

The second iteration of last year’s iconic HTC One (M7) – the new HTC One (M8) is a device with quite a lot going for it. Bearing an upgrade in almost all aspects over last year’s HTC One, the M8 bears an upgraded 5 inch screen which offers a full-HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolutions, which comes to about ~441 pixels per inch (ppi) resolution. The biggest upgrade, however, is on the processor front. HTC swapped the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quadcore processor with the latest Snapdragon 800/801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, with an ample 2 GB Ram and 16/32 GB internal storage. The in-built MicroSD slot (a deviation from last years’ HTC One) supports upto 128 GB of storage expansion. The HTC One (M8) also is unique in its’ camera setup, with a 4 ultra-pixel primary camera coupled with a new ‘Duo Camera’ which aids in depth perception and adding after-focus effects to photographs. All of this setup is powered by a 2600 mAh battery. Visit this link for the HTC One (M8) unboxing.

If you’re going to get the HTC One (M8) from T-Mobile, hit up the source link on this article to place your order at T-Mobile and do shout it out to us in the comments below.

Which is pretty awesome.

The HTC One (M8) has a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD3 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, a 2800mAh battery and it’s running on Android 4.4.2. Verizon Getting a Developer Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S5

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

Samsung Galaxy S5 11.4

For those looking to get a Samsung Galaxy S5 on Verizon where you can unlock the boot loader and such, well you’ll have to pick up the Developer Edition. This shouldn’t be much of a surprise, since Verizon has locked their boot loaders pretty tight over the past few years – in which AT&T has also followed suite. But it’s a bit easier to get around that. Simply buy the Developer Edition of the Verizon Galaxy S5. But there’s one catch, well two actually. You’ll be paying full price, and you’re warranty will void after you unlock the boot loader. This is where I think Samsung needs to take a cue from Motorola. Recently, Motorola changed their policy on developer edition devices to where unlocking the boot loader and rooting the phone does not void their warranty.

There’s no word on when exactly this Developer Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available. But one thing to note here is that it’ll only be on Samsung’s site, and not Verizon’s unfortunately. So that if you were looking to get the Galaxy S5 Developer Edition from Verizon, that won’t be happening. Normally these Developer Editions show up later on. So they could be available next week, next month or even next year. From what we gather, there’s not a whole lot of people buying them, so they don’t make as many and don’t release them as quickly as the normal Galaxy S5.

If you just want a regular Samsung Galaxy S5 for Verizon, Amazon’s got your back. Amazon is currently selling the Galaxy S5 for $189 on a new contract. Which it appears that they are sold out of all the carrier models right now. Hopefully that changes rather soon though. For those interested, we’ve got the links down below, and you can also buy them from Verizon’s website – who’s backordered until next week.
