T-Mobile Puts the Samsung Gear Fit, Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo On Sale Starting at $199

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

AH-GearFit-2

Just like the other carriers, T-Mobile is also putting the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit on sale today alongside the Galaxy S5. Samsung announced these wearables along with the Galaxy S5 back in February in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress. The Gear Fit is basically a fitness tracker that does everything you’d expect it to do. From integrating with S Health, to counting your steps, to everything in between. The Gear Fit is on sale for $199, while the Gear 2 Neo is also going for $199. The Gear 2 is going for $299, and it’s a full fledged smart watch, complete with a camera actually on the watch instead of the strap this time. The Gear 2 Neo is essentially the same, but without the camera.

Remember the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are only compatible with Samsung devices. These include the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Mega. So you’ll want to be sure you’ve got one of those devices before you buy one of Samsung’s latest wearables, which are running tizen.

Samsung Galaxy S5 arrives on T-Mobile

Samsung-Galaxy-S5-T-Mobile

Magenta fans rejoice, the next big thing is now available on T-Mobile. Starting today, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is now available on the nation’s fourth largest carrier. T-Mobile is offering the device for $0 down and around $27.50/month. Which isn’t a bad price, but you can also buy it outright if you’d rather do that.

With T-Mobile’s plans you can get the Galaxy S5 with 1GB of data and unlimited talk and text for $50, or 3GB for $60, 5GB for $70 and unlimited for $80. T-Mobile also has their new Simple Starter plan which goes live tomorrow, so if you’re looking for that plan you’ll have to wait til tomorrow to grab the Galaxy S5, or just switch plans after you get your device. Either one is a good idea.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 5.1-inch 1080p display which has 431ppi. It also has the Snapdragon 801 inside with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 16MP camera, and Android 4.4.2. So in short, it’s a beast. And you’re going to want to buy the Galaxy S5.

Boost Mobile Offering the Samsung Galaxy S5 in May

Boost Mobile has just sent along a nice little note that they will be carrying the “Next Big Thing” come next month. Right now they are allowing you to sign up for information, but no word on pricing or availability, or even pre-orders. Hopefully that’ll come along pretty soon. The Samsung Galaxy S5 launched today on T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. However, it appears to be sold out online at some retailers already. Not that I’m surprised.

Remember that with Boost Mobile you are going to be paying the full price of the device, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them asking over $600 for this thing. Because they are a prepaid carrier, there’s no subsidies here. If you want to get it for $199, then you’ll need to sign a contract with Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon. It’s also important to note that Boost Mobile does run on Sprint’s network. So you’ll want to be sure that you get good service from Sprint in your area before jumping on the Boost Mobile bandwagon. However, they do have some pretty great plans, as low as $35/month.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 – as a refresher – features a 5.1-inch 1080p display which is said to be the best display ever made. Along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot, 16MP camera on the back, 2MP shooter on the front, along with a 2800mAh battery and Android 4.4.2. It’s pretty much a beast. It does also have the heart rate sensor on the back as well as the fingerprint sensor on the front, underneath the home button. Which I’m hearing mixed reviews about right now. Since I haven’t gotten my hands on one yet.

How many of our readers are on Boost Mobile? Anyone looking to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S5 when it launches next month? Let us know in the comments down below.

Samsung’s Gear 2, Gear Fit, and Gear 2 Neo Now Available at Verizon

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

GearFit1

Verizon’s Galaxy S5 is available today for $199, and now the Gear 2, Gear Fit and Gear 2 Neo are also available. The Gear 2 is available for $299 which is a full fledged smart watch, similar to the Galaxy Gear from last year, but it’s a bit nicer looking at least to me. They moved the camera from the strap up to the actually watch face. The Gear 2 Neo is going for $199 which is essentially the Gear 2 but without the camera. Finally there’s the Gear Fit which is essentially a fitness tracker with complete integration with the S Health app on Samsung devices.

It’s also important that remind you that the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are only compatible with a few of Samsung’s devices. It’s compatible with the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Mega devices. If you decide to pick up either of Samsung’s new wearables, be sure to let us know in the comments down below.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 Now Available

Following the other carriers, Verizon has also unleashed their Galaxy S5 today. They are selling the Samsung Galaxy S5 for $199 on a new contract, which Amazon actually has a bit cheaper for $189. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, along with 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Android 4.4.2, along with Touchwiz and a massive 2800mAh battery. The battery has some pretty awesome battery saving tech inside as well, which is nice to have certainly.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with 16GB of storage inside, along with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB. Which only Sandisk has one available with 128GB of storage right now. We do have the link down below if you’re interested in picking it up. Samsung has also added a heart rate monitor and a fingerprint scanner. Samsung is going all health and fitness with the Galaxy S5, which I think is a good path to go down for them.

Sprint now Selling the Samsung Gear Fit, Gear 2, and Gear 2 Neo

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

Gear 2 Neo

For those of you running to Sprint to buy your Galaxy S5, don’t forget to pick up one of Samsung’s new wearables. The Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit all go on sale today as well. The Gear 2 is their second generation smart watch, which does still have a camera, but it’s in the watch itself instead of the strap. It’s actually a really nice looking smart watch, and its going for $299. While the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are both going for $199. The Gear 2 Neo is basically the Gear 2 but there’s no camera. Then the Gear Fit is more of a fitness tracker, and I think it’s the best looking one of the bunch. All three of these are also available from Amazon, so if you’re not already heading to Sprint for the Galaxy S5, it might be easier to grab it from Amazon. Especially with Amazon Prime’s free two-day shipping.

Samsung Galaxy S5 In Sprint Stores now for $199

via AndroidHeadlines.com |

sprint galaxy s5

Sprint now has the Samsung Galaxy S5 in stores for purchase, or if you just want to take a look at it. Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 back in February at Unpacked in Barcelona. The Samsung Galaxy S5 takes the Galaxy S4 and makes it even better. While some may not like the overall look and design of the device, it’s hardware is definitely top notch. Speaking of hardware, we’re looking at a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 2GB of RAM along with a 16MP camera on the back and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. We also are looking at Android 4.4.2 – KitKat on-board along with their latest version of Touchwiz. Much like AT&T and Verizon, Sprint is selling the Galaxy S5 for $199 on a new contract. However you can also add it to your Framily plan and get a bit more off your monthly bill. Amazon has the device on sale right now for a slightly cheaper price than Sprint, going for $189.
