Samsung announced ISOCELL back in September of last year. ISOCELL is an advanced pixel technology for Smartphones and tablets. The Galaxy S5 does feature ISOCELL as expected, and it should improve the quality of your pictures dramatically. Samsung has now released a new video about how ISOCELL works on your Galaxy S5.
ISOCELL attempts to do what every manufacturer wants to do. Which is better low light performance, which HTC kinda perfected with the UltraPixel camera last year, it’s just too bad that it was only 4-megapixels. “ISOCELL pixels decrease crosstalk between neighboring cells by forming minute barriers between neighboring pixels to increase light sensitivity and control electron collection resulting in higher color fidelity, even in poor lighting conditions.”
Samsung was bragging on stage at Mobile World Congress about how the Galaxy S5 has the best camera on a smartphone right now. Which I’m not doubting them, mostly because I haven’t gotten my hands on the Galaxy S5 yet, but then again the cameras out there especially on Android smartphones it’s not that hard to beat them all. However, I’d love to see a shoot out between the Sony Xperia Z1s, LG G2 and the Galaxy S5. Those all have great cameras. Samsung also added some new features to the Camera app on the Galaxy S5. It’s also redesigned, it looks more like the camera app on the Galaxy S3 and Note 2, which several people liked better than the app on the Galaxy S4 and Note 3. Which makes sense, as it has a lot less animations and it’s much easier to change the options.
On April 11th, we should see just how good the Galaxy S5 is. As always, once we get our review unit we’re going to be covering the Galaxy S5 in-depth, going over each folder as well. So you’ll want to be sure you stay tuned to Android Headlines for that.
